Words, words, words - making sure you use the right ones!

My "Ceremony Guide - Selecting Your Words"

Many couples that I work with to create their ceremonies are unsure where to start in creating a ceremony that is right for them.  The first question I always ask a couple is what their ceremony looks like in their mind?  Some typical answers are: personalised for us; elegant; relaxed; informal and fun; not religious; happy; casual; our family and friends celebrating with us.  So, how to make the perfect ceremony for you?  Where to start?  Feeling daunted?  Relax - we can do this together!

To assist couples, I've created my own "Ceremony Guide - Selecting Your Words".  For many couples they will find what works perfectly for them in the document.  Others will like pieces from various options and I weave them together to create the perfect words.  Some people like to write their own words for particular pieces of the ceremony.  The document often provides them with great guidance as to "what goes where" in terms of the Declaration (Statement of Intent, I do's), Vows and The Rings.  It also provides inspiration for readings, poems or the lyrics or songs that they might like to use.

The key to creating your ceremony is to make sure that it is personalised just for you.  You shouldn't have to settle for the "standard" or the "standard with a few tweaks".  Your ceremony should reflect you both, what's important to you and what will create a life-long memory. To do this we work together.  I do whatever it takes to get it right.  The result - your own tailored ceremony.
